Finally, a $200 listing that’s worth $200!

Even if only for the amusement it provides…

aaaaaaw he went to... Hyena Cart... WTF!

Though we do wonder… if he went to Zales, where’d he get the Jared box?

The listing just says she is including a ring box and gift box. Not that the ring was purchased there. Maybe she doesn’t have the Zales box anymore. Or maybe she did get it at Jared but there is a listing for the same ring on the Zales site….goodness…ya’ll must be bored.

  • just me

its kind of a ugly ring.

  • betterthanslicedbread

    2 fb and a $200 ring.
    no.

  • meh.

Pregnancy ring??? I’m confused. Is this something that people really do? Get a $400 ring just to wear when they are pregnant? Why not just get your ring sized larger?

    • Mums

Well if you size your ring larger you have to resize it again when your pregnancy is done, so I can see why some people would rather get a new ring for their pregnancy (who doesn’t like jewelry after all), but I think I would keep it and resize THAT one, or keep it for if I got pregnant again… I don’t think I’d sell it though. But I have a hard time letting go of anything.

    • try me, i'm new!

or just not wear a ring for a few months. of wear it on a chain. i’ve never heard of a “pregnancy ring” before. sounds more like an “I need an excuse to get more jewelery” ring to me. god forbid we go without baubbles for a few months…that wouldn’t do….

      • Mums

yeah, it probably is more about getting more jewelry than anything, but so what, if you can afford it, why not? And I know I feel naked without my rings, I think it would really bother me to not have anything on my finger (don’t think I’d spend 400 though, We didn’t spend that much on both my rings combined). Besides my MIL put hers to good use, my DH got her engagement ring for me (the one with the smaller stone) and his older brother will get what was her pregnancy ring when he finds the right person to give it to. They’re the only two diamonds she had, if she hadn’t gotten a pregnancy ring she would have had to decide if my DH should get it because he got engaged first, or if his brother should get it because he’s the oldest and then she would have worried forever about whether the DIL who didn’t get a stone would feel like less a part of the family. She says she saved herself a lot of grief in the end. She’s quite the worry wart though.

  • what

if you want or need a prego ring just check out local pawn shop. you could get a band from 50 and up. and what betterthanslicedbread said…. $200 and 2 fb I don’t think so

    • anonymousme

Yeah I saw that it was lol-tastic!

As for the ring WHO CARES there has GOT to be better dramaz out there. If the woman’s significant other wants to give her a “promise” ring of sorts what’s it to us for judging their decision. I for one think its pretty but the reason for selling it may be a bit flimsy but *shrugging* I’m not buying it so I don’t care about why she’s getting rid of it.

    • betterthanslicedbread

sure why not? It’s a bummer she changed it lol

  • Chickie Poo

    Nevermind, she changed it.

It’s a little “pot meet kettle” since someone had a listing with HER name for non-payment. Scroll down about 2/3 of the way to FB left on Feb 26 09.

  • Staci

The listing says “relist for non-payment by….”

  • theantiaddiction

Ah, I see it now. How do you know that’s the same person though??

  • Chickie Poo

Yep, it’s the same person. I guess that’s how she learned it was an OK thing to do- because she got called out.

    lol

This was just brought to my attention recently and it was my listing!

My husband wanted me to list it on Spots because of the significant difference in price when compared to selling it on ebay. Yes, it was the ring I wore while I was pregnant. We weren’t married, but got engaged and decided to buy a less expensive ring in a large size to accommodate pregnancy swelling. I did end up selling it on ebay and if you notice on the listing, I gave my ebay username as a point of reference for feedback.

I honestly never expected it to sell on Spots, but it was somewhere to list it and I did. The ring was from Zales, but I didn’t ask for a box there as I just wore it out of the store after it was sized. The Jared box is from my wedding set and I thought that perhaps someone would want a box for it. That’s all!

I didn’t want more jewelry, dh wanted some money back from what I had spent on a CD shopping spree. He told me to sell the ring to recoup some of the money. I had purchased too much, so we agreed I needed to give up something of mine in exchange for overspending.

I also wish I could see where something was listed for nonpayment as I have always paid for items. I looked at the person’s feedback page that you linked to and that’s not me. My account is amyrichardson919 and is the only one I have on HC. I don’t know a Fiona Kolbe.

    Wow, y’all really analyzed this?

I have no idea what you guys are talking about in terms of testers. I’ve only tested Dolce Baby.

This whole thing confuses me! Glad you enjoyed it :)
